Western Wingate

When you think Wingate Sandstone you usually think of the splitter cracks of Indian Creak or Moab, but not all wingate looks like this. As the wind blows across the desert it erodes the sandstone exposing the layers of the petrified sand dunes from 200 million years ago. All around the Colorado Plateau you see this windblown rock, sometimes with dinosaur tracks and fossilized bones preserved in it. This creates the beautiful landscape of the desert of Western Colorado, Southern Utah and Northern Arizona.

Our Western Wingate Series by Shaper Louie Anderson offer crimping, pinching and slopers that feel just like the real thing without the sandy mess.
